Origin of a Missing Link

Description

I saw this article one time about the supposed "missing link" between fish and reptiles. They made the comment that if a scientist had sat down to design the missing link, it'd look like that critter. And then they said they'd never found the tail end of a specimen. And so, I devised a reason for WHY they can't find the tail: Darwin-boy hasn't finished knitting it!

Missing Link Wanna-Be: "You know, they'll just find out what you're doing in the end. Every other missing link has been found to be either a fake or no link at all; what makes you think this time will be different?"
Darwin-Boy: "Nothing. I just can't accept the fact that there might be a power greater than myself in the universe."

I saw this again while looking through your gallery (eh, you were asking people to, so this is natural I guess), and couldn't help thinking...

"You can't find a 'missing link.' As soon as it's found, it's not missing any more. It's there..."

Anyway, this made me chuckle- again.

I'm also surprised that, even this far on, so few people have argued about the science v.s. religion side of this. If you go to the "domain-of-darwin" club it's always there. Not to say that doesn't happen on the religion side of it, I just didn't bother with those clubs.

Eh, that sounds kind of 'taking-sidey.' To explain, I like evolution (when you really consider the workings behind it, it's amazing :wow:), but not the arguments that turn up around it.

Aaanyway- top-notch satire.
