:mwahaha: Because it does. :D

LOL, this is from an inside joke in the class. There's a color you can find called "phthalo blue" (there's also a phthalo green). And my art teacher says it's a color that is too vivid to be ignored, that it draws your eye to it and won't let you focus on the rest of the painting. Thus, it eats your canvas. ;P And so, a pthalo blue monster on a pthalo green background, eating a canvas. :nod: Because he can.

My paintings didn't photograph well (they're all too big to be scanned, and my digital camera is picky-picky-picky), so I had to do a lot of tweaking of the photograph in Photoshop to make it look like the painting really does.

weird art teahcers are the best...none of the really good artists had three-quarters of an ounce of sanity -- look at van gogh, painted Starry Night (one of my favourite art pieces) while in an insane asylum :P
